Antique mahogany drop-leaf table.
This 19th-century mahogany book-press table is a versatile piece of furniture. It features two drawers and a drop leaf design with rounded corners, allowing for easy expansion or contraction of the table surface. The table stands on four splayed legs.
The table would originally have had a large and heavy iron book press attached to the top. The base of the legs look to have had possibly a shelf at the base but neither is no longer present.
Condition report- In good/used condition, few marks here and there which is expected, this was a working piece of furniture. All the knocks and scrapes add to the charm in my opinion.
Overall a lovely period piece.
