This early Victorian mahogany scotch chest of drawers is not only visually appealing but also cleverly designed. It features a secret drawer along the top, which can only be accessed by pressing a flap up from inside one of the top drawers. This makes it an ideal storage solution for valuable items. The chest has a layout of two short drawers on top, followed by three graduated long drawers below. The long drawers still have their original blue lining. The chest is further enhanced by the presence of columns on the sides, giving it an imposing and handsome appearance. It stands on a plinth base, adding to its overall elegance. The chest is finished in a stunning flame mahogany.
