A beautifully crafted oak hideaway school desk with matching chair, made by “Forward” and bearing the original brass badge and Registered Design number 754284 (officially dated to 1930). The desk features an octagonal form with panelled sides, shaped bracket feet, and a hinged central section that reveals a concealed internal chair and compartmental storage shelf.
Condition Report:
In very good original condition overall. Some light age-related wear to the top surface, consistent with use, and minor scuffing to the feet. Structurally sound and fully functional, with all original fittings including the brass handles and maker’s plaque intact.
