Edwardian oak roll top kneehole writing desk with fitted interior, incorporating pigeon holes, two small drawers, pull out writing slides and two pedestal drawer bases, each with four drawers. A substantial and practical antique desk with good colour and useful storage throughout.
The tambour opens and closes as it should and the desk comes with a working period-style brass barrel key. Please note the narrow slot to the tambour is an original letter/document slot, designed to allow papers to be placed inside while the desk is locked, and is not damage.
For ease of access, moving and delivery, the desk separates into three sections: the top and the two pedestal bases.
Condition:
Good solid antique condition overall with age and use related wear throughout. The writing surface has general wear from use. All drawers run as they should. Overall, a good honest example with plenty of character.
