Edwardian walnut pedestal desk dating to the early 20th century (circa 1900-1915). The desk features characteristic tram-line mouldings, panelled cupboard pedestals and original brass swan-neck handles. It is constructed in walnut with solid secondary timbers and comes apart into three sections (two pedestals and the top), making it practical to move and position. The desk stands on castors and has a leather inset writing surface. A versatile and well-proportioned antique desk, ideal for a home office, study or period interior.
Condition
Structurally solid and stable throughout. Leather writing surface shows age-related wear, marks and patina consistent with use. General surface wear, minor knocks and colour variation commensurate with age. Drawers and cupboard doors open and close well. Original castors present.
