A striking pair of carved and pierced Indonesian hardwood wall brackets, each modelled as a powerful mythical guardian figure. Beautifully detailed throughout — open jaws, stylised armour, braided decoration and flowing scrolls — all carved from solid hardwood with tons of texture and character.
These originally take their inspiration from temple architecture and ceremonial carvings. They make incredible decorative wall hangings, or can be repurposed as shelf brackets if fixed securely.
Full of presence, hand-work, and that warm, earthy tone everyone’s after right now.
Condition
Good decorative condition with the usual small age marks and natural carving variations. Solid and weighty. A couple of tiny nibbles on high points but nothing that distracts.
