A late Victorian walnut button-back sofa with elegant scrolled arms and beautifully turned front legs on black ceramic castors. Retains its original damask upholstery, softly faded and gently worn with age, giving the piece a wonderful, time-softened character.
The rear leg is stamped ‘P’, a likely workshop or pattern mark typical of late Victorian upholstery houses. Comfortable, classically proportioned, and full of character — perfect for a sitting room, bay window, or boutique interior.
Condition:
Structurally sound and sturdy. The original upholstery shows expected fading and wear consistent with age. Fabric remains usable but would also make a fine candidate for re-covering. Legs and castors all in good working order.
