A beautifully shaped mid-Victorian chaise longue in solid mahogany, complete with a deep scroll arm, crisp foliate carving and turned legs on original porcelain castors. The frame has that rich, warm mahogany colour only 19th-century timber develops, and the proportions are spot on – long, low and elegant.
Upholstered in a vintage gold cut velvet that gives it a proper period feel. Ideal for a bay window, dressing room, landing, or anywhere you want a bit of drama and old-school charm.
Condition Report:
Structurally sound with age-related marks as expected. Fabric shows wear, small pulls, loose trim and light fading in places. Minor nibbles and knocks to the frame. Original castors present and working. Presents well and full of character as is and perfectly useable but could be re-upholstered if you want a fresher look.
