Antique Victorian Bamboo shooting stick /sporting cane

A beautiful antique Victorian bamboo shooting stick, also known as a sporting cane with a folding seat.

Once a gentleman’s must-have for country pursuits, it works as both a walking stick and a handy portable seat , perfect for shooting, fishing, or spectating at outdoor events.

Crafted from bamboo with brass fittings and a folding seat, it even has a metal point to secure it into soft ground. A charming piece of late Victorian to early 20th-century outdoor kit.

Condition Report:

Visible age-related wear, fraying to fabric edges, and some minor holes (see photos). Original pole and painted finial included. A rare and characterful survivor.
