A handsome solid mahogany campaign style military chest of drawers / ship’s drawers with four long graduated drawers, inset brass campaign handles and a rich warm colour throughout. A practical and decorative piece with a clean, unfussy form that works well in both traditional and modern interiors. The drawer linings have been finished with a decorative nautical themed paper, which suits the piece nicely.
Condition
Solid and sturdy. General age and use related wear including surface marks and minor signs of use in keeping with age. One brass handle backplate has a crack, though this is not especially noticeable unless closely inspected. One brass escutcheon is missing. Overall presents well and remains a smart, usable piece.
