Substantial antique carpenter’s workbench with a thick plank top, original cast iron Record vice, and a cupboard to each side. A characterful, practical piece with plenty of age, wear and patina throughout. Ideal for use as a kitchen island, retail display, workshop piece, or rustic sideboard.
The top has a wonderfully worn surface with historic marks, old cut-outs and plenty of honest working character. The base is enclosed with boarded cupboard doors at each side, both offering useful storage. A proper solid old thing - built for work.
Condition
Good solid usable condition for its age with general age-related wear, knocks, marks, scuffs, surface losses and historic repairs as shown. Old historical signs of worm are present; we treat everything as standard anyway. The top is heavily worn in keeping with its original workshop use. Cast iron vice is in place and adds to both the look and function of the piece. Nicely timeworn overall with strong decorative appeal.
