Large antique chest of drawers with a warm walnut-coloured finish, brass drop handles and attractive reeded drawer detailing. A good practical size, offering two short drawers over three long drawers, suitable for bedroom storage, hallway use or as a statement piece in a period interior.
The chest has a rustic, well-used appearance with plenty of age, colour and character. The drawer construction shows dovetail joints, with pine drawer linings and a boarded pine back, typical of period furniture.
Condition
Rustic antique condition with historic marks, scratches, knocks, stains, wear to the polish and signs of use throughout. The top shows notable surface wear and darker marks. Brass handles have tarnish and age-related wear. Drawers are usable and have dovetail construction. Some old repairs and movement should be expected due to age. Presents well overall with proper old-house character -not showroom perfect.
