A rare and authentic Liberty & Co. Arts & Crafts oak plant stand, circa 1900, stamped with design number 138. This beautifully proportioned piece features crisp hand-carved decoration, including stylised sunflower or fan motifs, chevron fluting, and distinctive pierced roundels—hallmarks of Liberty’s signature style.

Its clean lines and refined detailing reflect the strong influence of Japanese design (Japonisme), which was embraced by Liberty during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The result is a striking fusion of British craftsmanship with Japanese minimalism and nature-inspired aesthetics.
