A handsome mid-Victorian mahogany twin pedestal writing desk, featuring rounded corners, an inset green leather writing surface with gilt-tooled border and an arrangement of nine drawers with brass swan-neck handles.
The desk has a lovely traditional shape and plenty of useful storage, including a drawer with internal dividers. A characterful piece that would work equally well in a home office, study or living room.
The desk retains an A. Solomon trade label. Historical research documents Abraham Solomon as a London furniture broker and dealer during the 19th century.

Antique condition with age-related wear throughout. The green leather has noticeable marks and surface wear, while the mahogany shows knocks and areas of wear consistent with use.
