A matching pair of traditional North African metalware. This set consists of a spectacular ornate gooseneck tea kettle and a rare, matching three-footed cauldron pot - perfectly suited for use as a high-end decorative indoor planter (jardinière) or fireplace hearth piece.
Artisanship & Materials:Both pieces showcase exceptional master craftsman handiwork. They are hand-formed out of a heavy, solid copper base body and intricately overlaid with multi-toned brass and white metal alloy panels. The pieces feature meticulously chased geometric diamond, teardrop, and stylized Moorish/Islamic cultural patterns that catch the light beautifully.
Condition Report
Good vintage decorative condition, displaying age-related surface marks, tarnishing, variations in colour and areas of natural patination throughout.
One of the metal handle fixings has partially separated from the body, although the remaining section is still attached. The affected fixing will require attention if the handle is to be relied upon for lifting.
The metalwork retains its attractive decorative appearance, with variations and signs of age adding to the overall character.
Both vessels are offered as decorative display pieces only and have not been tested for holding liquids or food use.
