A handsome contemporary Chinese hardwood Kang table, traditionally inspired and beautifully made from solid hardwood with a warm, richly figured finish.
The long rectangular top features a framed construction with a slightly raised central panel, sitting above a shaped apron and four substantial square-section legs. The restrained detailing gives it a particularly elegant look without being overly ornate.
Based on the traditional Chinese Kang table form, its low proportions make it perfectly suited to modern interiors as a large coffee table or low centre table. At 127cm long, it has plenty of presence and works particularly well in a larger sitting room.
A lovely piece for combining with antique, traditional or more contemporary furniture.
Condition Report
Good used condition with general signs of previous use. There are some light surface small marks, knocks and variations to the finish, particularly to the tabletop, as photographed. Overall it presents very well and remains a solid and attractive piece.
