A handsome early Ercol Old Colonial dresser in solid oak, complete with its original plate rack and the earliest blue-and-gold rectangular “This is an Ercol Production” label - dating this example to the late 1950s to mid-1960s. This is the proper early Old Colonial era: solid, weighty, beautifully crafted and full of warmth and farmhouse charm.
The base features two drawers over a double-door cupboard with traditional turned knobs and classic Old Colonial detailing. Above sits the three-shelf plate rack with shaped sides and plate grooves, perfect for displaying pottery or bringing that timeless country-kitchen feel into any space.
A strong, honest vintage piece with lovely grain, great proportions and real presence.
