A characterful pair of antique country house armchairs, upholstered in pale lime green fabric, with deep seats, curved backs and generous scroll arms. Standing on dark turned front feet, they have the relaxed proportions that suit a traditional sitting room or reading corner.
The upholstery has a slubbed texture and subtle sheen, possibly silk dupioni, although the fibre content is unconfirmed. Piped detailing follows the arms and loose feather filled cushions.
Both chairs come with decorative back cushions featuring a red horn and quiver motif, finished with red and cream Greek key borders. A lovely classical detail that gives the pair their distinctive country house look.

Condition
The upholstery shows fading and uneven colour, particularly across the outer panels and seat cushions, with some marks. Localised wear to the arm ends. The wooden feet show surface marks and wear to the finish.
They have a well-used country house appearance and could also be reupholstered or professionally cleaned to suit a new interior.
