A characterful early 19th-century Regency mahogany and walnut drop-leaf side table.
The compact rectangular top features two rounded drop leaves, allowing the table to sit neatly against a wall when closed and providing a generously sized surface when fully opened.
Two upper drawers sit above a further drawer incorporated into the lower tier, all fitted with decorative brass handles. The table is raised on attractive ring-turned and square-cut supports, finished with turned feet and castors.
A particularly useful and unusual antique table with a beautifully warm, timeworn appearance. Perfect as a side table, lamp table, occasional table or traditional work and sewing table.
Condition Report
Good, antique condition with surface wear, marks and colour variation throughout, particularly across the tabletop. There are signs of historic repairs and wear around the drop-leaf supports and drawer interiors. The brass handles may be later replacements. No keys are present. These details are consistent with its considerable age and form part of its character. Please study all photographs carefully.
