A superb Tetrad Landau armchair, upholstered in beautifully aged green leather.
A substantial and extremely comfortable chair with generous scroll arms, gathered leather detailing, contrasting twisted piping, turned wooden front legs and castors. The green hide has developed a wonderfully worn, faded and crackled patina that gives the chair bags of character.
The original manufacturer’s label remains underneath and identifies the model as Landau.
A seriously good-looking chair for a country house, library, study or sitting room, and one where the wear is very much part of the look.
Condition Report
Good, solid and usable vintage condition with considerable age and use-related character to the leather. There is fading, creasing, surface cracking, scuffs and areas of heavier wear, particularly to the loose seat cushion. The cushion has some darker marks/areas of wear as photographed. The leather remains wonderfully characterful rather than smart or uniform. Original labels remain underneath.
