Victorian Mahogany Extending Dining Table Antique 6 Seater Brass Castors

A handsome Victorian mahogany extending dining table, dating from the late 19th century.

A lovely traditional table with a rich dark mahogany colour, gently rounded corners and moulded edge to the top. It stands on four beautifully turned legs, each terminating in its original-style brass castors.

The table extends from 125cm to 183cm, making it a really practical size for everyday use while giving plenty of extra room when needed. At full length it would comfortably work as a 6 seater dining table, with the potential to accommodate additional seating depending on chair size.

A proper old table with plenty of character and a wonderfully substantial feel – ideal for a period property, traditional kitchen or dining room, but equally good for adding some warmth and age to a more contemporary interior.

Condition Report

Good solid antique condition with age-related wear throughout.

The tabletop has visible surface wear including scratches, marks, areas of fading and clouding to the old polished finish. There are variations in colour and finish across the top, all of which can be seen in the photographs.

There is further general age-related wear to the frame and legs. The table remains an attractive and very usable piece and we have deliberately left the existing finish rather than heavily restoring it and removing its aged character.

Please expect the knocks, marks and imperfections associated with a genuine antique table of this age.
