A rare and characterful 19th Century oak choir master’s seat, originating from a church in Barnoldswick, Lancashire. Crafted during the Victorian period, this ecclesiastical piece features a tall panelled back, finely carved scrollwork arm supports with foliate detailing, and a deep cornice with dentil moulding. Rich in colour and patina, it has a strong architectural presence — ideal as a statement hallway seat, reading nook chair, or display item.
A beautiful and authentic piece of English church furniture with great proportions and Gothic Revival influences.

Good condition overall with minor age-related wear including surface marks and slight fading to seat and backrest. Structurally sound and sturdy.
