Victorian Pine Coffee Table
A charming Victorian pine coffee table with a fantastic history. Originally from a primary school in Cambridge, it then remained in the same family for around 40 years.
Whether it was originally made at this height for school use or was later cut down from a standard dining table, we can’t say for certain. What is certain is that it is a genuine Victorian piece with beautiful colour, plenty of character and a wonderfully timeworn patina. It makes a superb coffee table for both traditional and modern interiors.
Condition Report
Good, solid antique condition with age-related wear throughout. The top has plenty of historic marks, knocks and general signs of use, all adding to its authentic character. There are historic repairs and movement to the top consistent with its age, but it remains sturdy and ready to use.
